History
Elegance Confectionary
started operating in Syria late in 2004. The company's
core business is meeting customer needs for confectionery
product.
In January
2005 we introduced "Today"
to fill the market need for a chocolate-coated wafer
bar at a reasonable price; we offered the product in
three different cream fillings (Cocoa, Hazelnut and
Milk).
In the
summer of 2005, our second product was brought to market:
"Jofy". Developed
to suit customer desires in hot weather, Jofy is a crispy
wafer bar filled with cream without the chocolate coating.
As a
result of our wholesalers’ demand, we introduced late
in 2005 "Elegance"
two fingers of wafer chocolate-coated with cream filling.
Elegance became our most demanded product in the local
and surrounding markets.
In 2006,
we introduced "Tonky"
with the special cream fillings: "Almond, Caramel, and
Hazelnut"…
Early
2008, we started our biscuit line with a very special
product being offered for the first time in the Middle
East. "Elegance Stars"
is a round biscuit with deposited chocolate and
cream.
Elegance
Confectionery is ISO9001:2000 and HACCP certified.

and sons) and is part of Kalioundji Group.

Elegance
is a food processing company operating to provide quality
confectionery products to consumers of all ages.
We are committed
to the highest quality standards in order to provide value
and benefit to our customers, employees, suppliers and all
stakeholders.
We believe
that our existence is the result of the hard work of all
stockholders from the phone operator of a European supplier
to the person stacking shelves in a supermarket.
We focus
on value added work in order to keep our cost free of any
bureaucratic costs; the consumer should not pay for any
non value added work.

We operate
our business in an ethical and professional way; our employees
are called team members and considered our most valuable

Elegance Confectionery manufactures and markets wafer biscuit
products for the Syrian, regional and international markets.
Our main goal is to bring Elegance to become a food company
that provides to the consumer a wide variety of quality
products in competitive prices
We at Elegance believe that customer needs are the drive
to our studies and products; all of our products are developed
and marketed to meet the customer demands. Customer satisfaction
is only the beginning for us and we always aim at the customer's
delight not only his/her satisfaction. Our company is committed
to provide high quality products through the application
of the ISO 9001:2000 system though the legal and ethical
standards. We also continuously work on improving the our
systems in order to make these systems more effective and
better for us and for our customers

methods in food processing. Moreover, Elegance is committed
to training and enhancing its employees' skills. We work
as one team and continuously try to reach our goal in providing
the customer a wide variety of quality food products that

to quality control in order to maintain the needed level

Safety Policy
Since the first days of production, Elegance Confectionery
has always been committed to all the developments in the
food processing industry. Hence, from the first batches
of production, Elegance applied the latest systems and procedures
that guarantee the quality and safety of its products not
for the purpose of getting certifications printed on its
product but from the deep sense of responsibility of providing
a safe product for the health of the consumer; Elegance
is committed to provide the consumer with a great food value
from its products.
The safety of our products is guaranteed through the application
of the HACCP system (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control
Points) that provides an assurance for the safety of the
products in the standards. The HACCP system is one of the
best systems that can be implemented for the assurance of
food safety.
The HACCP system is considered a tool for hazard analysis.
Elegance goal was and still is to develop and maintain a
system that protect its products from biological, chemical,
and physical hazards so that it can maintain its consumers
health and safety from the risks of contamination. All of
that is done through a system to control these hazards that
concentrates on preventive actions rather than relying on
final inspection. The good application of the system requires
the full commitment of the management and the team that
is formed of qualified people to do the jobs given to them.
In addition, the management works on continuously training
the employees on food safety.
The HACCP system is applied to the making of all our products
from the control of raw materials to the end product in
a way that guarantees the safety of the final product. All
of that makes the products easier to market, meet the national
and international standards and deliver a safe quality product
that delights the customer.
